What CPD do lawyers in Australia need to do?
James Crittenden
Assistant Director of Practitioner Education (Professional Development), The College of Law
Transcript:
Generally Lawyers in Australia are required to complete 10 CPD points each CPD year, which runs from 1 April through 31 March. Some practitioners, such as accredited specialists, are required to do 20 units. There are four areas in which you must complete at least one each CPD unit per year, these include Ethics and professional responsibility, Practice management and business skills, Professional skills and Substantive law. I recommend you check the details further with the regulating bodies in your state. It is also a good idea to be strategic in your selection of professional development program – what will help you upskill and what will enhance your career? It is valuable time you have to spend completing your CPD – make it count!
Comprehensive seminar materials with an excellent presenter made this an extremely valuable CPD seminar – highly recommended for practitioners at many levels of experience.
IN-HOUSE TRAINING
These course can be delivered on-site in your offices or at our campus to practitioners from all states across Australia . For more information please contact:
