About Law for Professionals

The College of Law is introducing a suite of programs for accounting professionals based on needs identified in discussions with the profession.

Accountants are increasingly expected and required to understand legal principles in their changing role and in client-facing interactions.

These new courses are designed to assist accounting professionals to:

  • Understand the legal implications of the advice being given to clients
  • Know when to engage a lawyer and what advice to seek on behalf of a client
  • Offer a more complete solution to the client.
